Thanks to all of you who contributed (financially & prayerfully) to this one-week mission trip to Accra,
Ghana, Africa. It was a great success! I was invited by Bishop John Andoh who is the leader of United
Council of Christian Churches (UCCC). The arrangements were made through my friend David Amable
and his mom who was a local pastor in Ghana. Sadly, she recently and unexpectedly passed away, so I
never had the opportunity to meet her, yet the conference was a great success, so many thanks to
Mama Amable in heaven.

We held a 4-day conference in which I delivered teaching on faith, authority, healing, and other aspects
of God’s goodwill. The audience consisted of 63 participants, mostly pastors from the Accra area who
are part of UCCC. The intention was to raise people in faith to walk in personal victory (full salvation
that Jesus provides), plus teach how to put into practice the Word of God to produce the fruit of
answered prayers, healings, and the ability to effectively deal with problems in life. The message was
very well received, it was believed, and healing was successfully put into practice in the church and in
two hospital visits (including a children’s hospital).

Here are some of the healing miracles that occurred:

  • All 7 kids in the emergency ward whom we prayed for on Thursday were discharged before
    follow-up on Sunday!
  • Boy at the children’s hospital wasn’t able to walk. After prayer we stood him up, walked him a
few steps, and then let him go. Walking was restored in the name of Jesus!
  • Man with spirit of infirmity was prayed for and then immediately jumped up and started
laughing and declaring that he was healed by Jesus.
  • Lady afflicted by stroke was paralyzed on the left side of her body. Upon prayer she was
instantly able to move toes on her left foot. After 2 days she was discharged from the hospital.
  • Gentleman delivered from leg pain and blood sugar disorder.
  • Man received healing of shoulder and back – set free from pain and full range of motion
    restored.
  • Man with roving pain in the head was set free (spirit of infirmity).
  • Gentleman with pain in the ribs was instantly healed.
  • Four people with stomach disorders were healed.
  • Hospitalized man instantly felt good and received strength in his body upon prayer.
  • Young man with diabetes and pain in the back was instantly set free from back pain and able to
    bend & twist his back.
  • Person with kidney failure was released a few days after prayer.
  • Man who was poisoned with medicine is recovering well per follow-up visit a few days later.

Several wrong doctrines and traditions of men were effectively addressed and resolved. The bottom-line is that Jesus told us to pray with authority by speaking directly to our problems and commanding them to do something. (Mark 11:22-24, Luke 10:19, Mark 16:15-18)

Authority works by commanding in the name of Jesus – most other methods are fruitless.

Here are the wrong doctrines that were resolved:

  • A common church tradition is calling on “fire from God” in an attempt to heal the sick. This is
not biblical and does not produce results.
  • “Pleading the blood of Jesus” upon the sick was another fruitless & unbiblical practice.
  • Proved that generational curses are fiction – Ezekiel 18 proves this, plus Jesus’ ministry never
    revealed such a thing.
  •  Witchcraft is prevalent in Ghana and many pastors were praying for witches to die on the basis of wrong understanding from the Old Testament. This was corrected by revealing that death is
according to the will & power of Satan – not of God. (John 10:10, Luke 9:56, 1Cor 15:26, Heb 2:14, 1Pet 5:8) Jesus taught that we should pray for our enemies, bless them, and do good to them. (Matt 5)
  • Corrected the wrong belief that Holy Spirit is a killer by clarifying the story of Ananias & Sapphira.

The teaching was so well received (and proven in the hospitals) that multiple pastors with bible schools and teaching ministries want to incorporate them into their programs. Additionally, Bishop Daniel Attrams invited me to teach on Glory Radio International on Saturday afternoon. We will follow this up with ongoing radio broadcasts of DBM teaching, and perhaps expand to TV in the near future. This trip truly is a starting point of amazing broad-reaching work that will happen in the very near future. There are about 200 pastors we want to work with that are part of UCCC; thus, the message of faith / authority/ healing will spread quickly and bring much-needed benefit to the communities.

On Friday, we went to visit Bishop John Andoh’s orphanage and widow training foundation. He has 65 orphans under his care at this facility. They also have a training program to teach widows skills, such as: basket & purse making, shoe making, bead-works, baking, soap making, among other skills. His objective is to raise the widows in skills that will help them to be productive and generate income. The property has coconut trees, plantain trees, and corn as primary crops. They raise pigs to sell, plus they raise chickens, ducks, and goats for food. More than half of the food they eat comes from their own means. I really like John’s approach to creating sustainable food & income sources which reduces dependence upon outside sources. That being said, there are still many unmet needs for the orphanage, with a few of the near-term priorities being:

  • A new bore-well and electric pump is needed. The current well is not producing sufficient
    water.
  • A septic system is needed to enable the use of toilets in the orphanage.
  • They have new bunk-beds in production, yet they still need 65+ mattresses once completed.
  • Bishop is trying to increase the foundation’s income by increasing the number of pigs. In addition to the expense of buying more pigs, there will be related other expenses to support it.

Thanks again for your support through prayers and finances. This trip was extremely successful and the
beginning of great work to be continued! If you are interested, here is a link to the recorded training
