Today I want to tell a testimony of granddaughter who prayed in the name of Jesus for her grandfather, who was miraculously healed from a deadly respiratory condition.  The granddaughter has been avidly taking teachings on the goodness of God, the full salvation of Jesus Christ, and faith & authority.  She has taken to heart the essential scriptures that allow us to walk in personal victory, as well as bring victory to the people around us.  The foundation is the suffering works that Jesus did to enable us to be healed:  He bore our sicknesses, He carried our pains, and by His stripes our healing is paid for!  Also, the Old Testament tells us that every sickness is a curse, and therefore Jesus came to redeem us from law and curse, so that we can live in health and be free from every form of oppression of the devil.  The redemptive works of Jesus entitle us to be healed and to give away healing.  Thank you, Jesus!

Isaiah 53:4-5 HCSB  Yet He Himself bore our sicknesses, and He carried our pains; but we in turn regarded Him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted.  (5)  But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds (stripes).

Galatians 3:13 NKJV  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”)

This woman of faith also took to heart the mechanism by which we bring forth the healing that Jesus paid for.  We must realize that God has given us authority over the devil and all of his works, and then we must exercise authority by giving commands.  Remember that Jesus told us to speak to the mountain, give it a command, and if we are believing it will be done.  Therefore, we resist the devil and his sicknesses by commanding them to leave, and they will flee!  Amen!

Mark 11:22-23 NKJV  So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.  (23)  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

James 4:7 NKJV  Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

In early August of 2019, Grandfather Pedro was stricken with illness by the devil.  Remember in Acts 10:38 that Jesus “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.”  Anytime someone has a healing need, it is because the devil has afflicted them in some way, whether sickness, injury, birth defect, or any other harm.  Pedro was in very bad condition with a collapsed lung, fluid in the lungs, he was in the ICU ward, and had code blue called on him indicating respiratory arrest.  This was a life and death situation for Pedro.

This daughter of God went to visit her grandfather in the hospital and found him on life support equipment, namely breathing assistance.  She held Pedro’s hand and prayed.  She commanded the sickness to leave in the name of Jesus.  She commanded him to be fully healed in the name of Jesus.  The healing power of Jesus began working in his body upon her prayer of faith, and by the next day Pedro was noticeably improving.  At this time, another person of faith prayed in agreement with her by sending an audio message to her.  After a short while longer, the breathing assistance was removed, he was able to watch TV, eat, get out of bed to sit in the chair, and even walk.

Just as Jesus prayed for the blind man more than once to bring forth complete healing, Pedro was prayed for a few times by his granddaughter and her prayer partner, and within a day or so afterwards he was released from the hospital, he was back at home, he was healed, and he was restored to life!  Thank you, Jesus!

Mark 8:22-25 NKJV  Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and begged Him to touch him.  (23)  So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.  (24)  And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.”  (25)  Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly.

There were only two people that Jesus said had great faith.  There was the Roman centurion who understood the concept of authority.  And there was the woman of Canaan whose daughter was demon possessed and she was persistent & insistent that her daughter be healed.  The understanding of authority and the use of persistence & insistence constitute great faith and will lead you into victory.  Pedro’s granddaughter exercised both of these qualities and was able to bring forth the healing works of Jesus to save her grandfather’s life.  Thank you, Jesus!

We have a role to play in order for the healing will of God to be done.  We must learn about the full salvation of Jesus, believe it, and exercise faith as Jesus taught us to.  And if we do these things, then the prayer of faith will enable the healing of the sick.

James 5:14-15 NKJV  Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  (15)  And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Thank you, Jesus!  And well done good and faithful granddaughter!

God bless you!

Bobby
